"As I thought about what to share today, lots of big ideas crossed my mind. I could talk about Grace, the namesake of our church, and how vital it is to life. Much of what God says about grace in the bible is spoken through Paul, whose conversion was not only miraculous but changed the trajectory of the Church as we know it today. And all of these things are good, true, and inspiring.

But the reality of the matter is, my week was full and heavy and at points really hard to carry. I struggled to be a good mother, to be a wife who was anything short of crabby and overwhelmed, to accomplish the many tasks that were before me without ripping my kid’s heads off, for just being children, in the process. Oh, and I had to write a sermon for today. Small detail. And I got to thinking, maybe some of you had an incredibly crappy week, too…
